My little sister is about to graduate from her midwifery degree with expected first class honours. Despite the national shortage of midwives it seems there aren’t enough jobs to go round so competition is fierce.
She had an interview today in Nottingham and said it went really well apart from she gave the wrong answer to a medical question, and didn’t realise until afterwards.
I appreciate that’s a very important part of the course, but can any midwives advise as to whether she’s blown it?
She has worked her placement at that hospital for the last two years, and her supervisory midwives all think highly of her.
Its going to be a long couple of weeks while she waits to hear back so any advice is much appreciated.
