The BMA is opening the consultation process to ascertain whether NHS consultants are prepared to escalate to strike action following the lack of progress on pay, contract and pensions negotiations.
Any other consultants here? Interested to know where you stand... I voted for, and participated in the junior doctors strikes in 2016, despite being a year away from CCT and therefore not directly affected. The key lesson I learned was that the strikes were too gradual in their escalation, my feeling is to start at a high level of impact immediately and to try and make it as short a time of disruption as possible.
