Could you work through another wave of Covid this winter?

I was redeployed twice to itu. I learned a lot and feel proud of what I did.

I caught covid during the first wave and I’m now triple jabbed so not worried about catching it, but mentally I really don’t think I could do that again. I think I would have to get signed off with stress if that happened for a third time. I feel sick just thinking about it as it is.

I’m sure I’m not the only one dreading winter am I?

So sorry for everything you’ve had to go through, I’m sure there are things you can never unsee. I don’t imagine you will be the only one signed off with stress if there is another wave Flowers

Perhaps you could request not to get reassigned to the ITU again for this reason. I’m sure they’d rather have you working somewhere than nowhere. Otherwise it’s just adding to all the other problems the NHS has eg massive waiting lists and people not getting treated for cancer etc.

No. The first time damn near killed me. I am not the same person I was. You have my sympathy.

Helpstopthepain · 20/11/2021 16:50

No, I don’t have anything left to give.

I'm dreading it
