I can't find a nursing position- looking into working with children with autism - advice appreciated.

I have just qualified as a mental health nurse and also a single parent. I struggled with childcare during my training but knew it was short placements and when I qualified, I could find a position suitable.
Here I am, qualified and still looking. I need something that are more child friendly hours. The positions that are offering me these flexible hours are services that are desperate for nurses and it's definitely not an area I want to work. I feel I'm running out of options remaining on the nmc register and may need to look in different areas.
A job in a school has come up supporting children with autism. I have a little knowledge but only little. The money is less too.
I'm really not sure what to do - any advice will be appreciated.

Could you not look at community services? 9-5 as a CPN for example. Or just take a job to get some experience under your belt that suits your family life right now and then move on to something else when you have more experience and therefore more choices.

Trainee Health Visitor? Or sexual health? Or occupational health ? I’ve seen and heard of people from all fields going into this
