Just wanted to post this for anyone out there going through the hell of Family Court and acrimonious children proceedings. I've been on this board a lot over the past 4 years and seen some horror stories. I have no doubt they are all true. But I wanted to offer a little hope alongside. I've just reached the end of four years of horrible proceedings. I've been in front of multiple Judges, and found them all fair, insightful and child focussed. And although a lot of people on here like to say children always ends up at 50/50, that wasn't my experience. CAFCASS recommended EOW and midweek contact. The Judge listened to why that was best for the children. We don't live miles apart, he wasn't abusive (just the standard vile). But they listened to the children and they considered what was best for them. I'm not saying it will be that way for everyone, but I wanted to offer this up as a little ray of hope amidst all the shit. It can be okay. The past few years have been a nightmare, and I'm still reeling, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I hope there is for you too.
