I feel so lonely as ex cheated on me several times whilst I attempted to reconcile. I have no family support or friends & feel so low.
I work, look after my wonderful kids & repeat.
Life is so miserable that I don’t want to be here anymore. Selfish as it sounds l, that’s how I feel, totally empty

How old are your children?

Terrribletwos · 16/07/2026 14:58

Hi @Sally333. What is it specifically that's making you feel that you can't go on?

Hi Sally, A number of us here have been in your position and some of us still are in limbo of separating houses etc - I remember way back 18 years ago now finding out about a likely OW and my spirit being fully crushed for the first time ever and no longer feeling like going on

This too will pass ...and you and your wonderful children will be fine soon...please trust in that ...feel free to vent out your whole story on here if that helps, you will get plenty of good support, advice if you need it, and handholds, we are all here for you, you are not alone in this, there is a whole sisterhood on here and as I said, so many have been through this and have come out on the other side much much happier and freer and wondering why they put up with their exHs for so long.... pls keep posting

Abusers have a way of isolating us from family and friends as well over the years, so at separation it does feel like we are isolated ....it will take time , but you will gradually build back your tribe, your own excellent support system...I promise.

Hi Sally this really will pass. Not today or tomorrow or even this
month but over a longer period of time. You will feel a flicker of a smile and a couple of seconds of happiness and that will grow over time.

What did you used to enjoy doing Sally? What music do you like (from before you even met him?
