Court order to buy ex out

Consent order agreed by court - actually had to attend court due to ex being obstructive.

I have to give him X amount. Mortgage approved. Just had an emailmfrom the conveyencer that ex will still have to sign to agree? The reason we were in court is because he wouldnt do this. This cant be right surely??

I'm not a lawyer but I think a Judge or the Courts can sign on his behalf if he refuses, throw this back to your solicitor and let them deal with it, let the conveyancer know you have referred this back to theirs and yours legal team.
