There is so much information online that I am not sure where to start, but I was hoping for recommendations of divorce guides / information that you have found informative, clear and helpful please. I’m looking for practical info as well as legal ( legal advice will also be sought in real life).
Im supporting a close friend, who has no idea how to move forward. we are trying to get a good understanding of the process / what she needs to think about.
Her position is 10 year marriage, one child aged 11, jointly owned house, only she is in employment.
Any advice gratefully received.

Advice now and wikivorce are good starting points.

Look up the legal queen on Instagram. She also does free divorce courses. Sorry to hear that only your friend is in employment. That’s makes things more difficult to navigate.

A lot depends on how much money they are dividing. In most regular divorces - things are relatively straightforward - you divide assets, more often than not 50/50, and it makes no sense to waste money on lawyers.

But as you say - the H does not work? Is he SAHP, is it medical, or is he refusing to get a job? If he is medically unable to work - the division of assets will have to reflect it.
