I read this board ALOT when I first found out about my husband having an off and on again affair for 5yrs. We were together 26yrs all in all and he was what seemed the perfect man. This forum helped me so thank you to all the posters.

Anyway I'm nearly through it all and I wanted to say to each and everyone of you who isn't quite yet at my stage, you can get through this and it's much better on the other side, so hang on in there, you are stronger than you ever thought.

Congratulations! I’ve been separated nearly 4 years and I’m not there yet though definitely closer to the end than the beginning. It’s been a bit of a shit show with him trying to control things. Still is really. But we will get there too.

Separated Feb 23, remortgaged and bough her out, she left end of Apr 23, divorced Sept 23! Cant imagine taking longer!

There are some rubbish things like lack of money & Christmas (if you have kids) but overall it IS much better!

Exchanged yesterday and complete on the 8th ...cant even begin to describe the sense of relief. I will be freeeeeeee 😀
