To report to the police?

Currently going through divorce been separated since February last year, have the kids 50/50 which is working fine communication around this is fine.

However he is harassing me about the finances. Sends horrible goady messages any chance he gets threatening court, for what I don’t know because I have no money. He says he wants 10k from me. Which I don’t have we only have around 9k in the house as it was bought recently. He has left me paying off one of his debts £4500 we took this in my name but it only benefited him. I have sent links to attend mediation. Just need it done now.

I requested no more personal/financial discussions and suggested using solicitors on August 31st and he sent at least 31 messages since that were not regarding child matters.

the messages are hostile, sarcastic, accusing me of alsorts telling me I’m the reason our kids are in a broken home. It just feels very relentless.

would it be to far to report to the police? Or go through family court for a non molestation order? I don’t want to but I am constantly feeling down and anxious over this constant bombardment. It’s like he doesn’t actually want to resolve the matter just wants to use it as a tool to wear me down.

Just block him on everything and use a parenting app.

A non mol will cost you about £5k. Nothing stopping you reporting to police though to build a picture of his behaviour

A non-mol is free if you self-represent but a lot of the time judges push for an undertaking ie a formal promise in court instead. The police will issue a harassment order on essentially no evidence other than you told him not to contact you and he continued to.

This isn't true. Non mols are free and you do not need representation. That being said it's not a guarantee. He is harassing you but the courts don't always see it.

Mine cost me that via solicitor.

You don't need a solicitor for a non mol. I got 3 successfully (the 3rd is indefinite) without one. If you can afford a solicitor OP go for it, but it's not necessary.
