Child benefit in my name but his contact details

i have been separated from my ex since the beginning of the year. Still living in the same house but I am moving out soon. The child benefit was set up in my name however he has the government gateway number and the account email and telephone number are his. He is being awkward and won’t give me the details to log in. If I contact them by phone will they help? Basically he’s claiming the money when I am the main carer of the children.
