As title says soon to be ex wife and I both work 12-16 hour days three to four days a week. We have a one time agreement when my ex moved out of a custody schedule where I have Monday through Wednesday. My ex has Thursday through Saturday. We rotate Sunday.
In the States. Have to file for Custody and Assets separately. Then in a year of living apart can file for divorce.
Schedule works. Was fine over the Summer. With my oldest being in school I am not a fan of the schedule. Not having Saturday's feels like a bummer at times. Would be nice to have a full weekend.
Plan to reach out to STBXW see if mediation may be an option. If we did private mediation may cost us each $1,000 they can streamline asssests )have none outside of two loans), custody, and file for divorce when it happens.
My question is what does your custody schedule look like for shift workers?
Since married, with exception for one year, my STBXW an I would work our schedule out, as we had to make our schedule 8-10 weeks in advance, so we have one day off together and then every other day one of us would be home with the children. It worked. At the moment my STBXW won't discuss her work schedule anymore with me. We just been doing what schedule we been doing since the start has been working.
Appreciate any response with schedules that have worked for you and the other parent?
