I have been tasked by the judge in family court with taking the lead in the process of obtaining a Single Joint Expert report for ascertaining the market value of a property.
I have had a number of quotes with a wide range of different costs. At the lower end, I have quotes between £500 and £800 (including VAT, where applicable). At the higher end, I have quotes of between £1500 and £1800, including VAT. I am slightly worried that the lower end quotes are, perhaps, suspiciously cheap. Or is it a case of the providers of the higher end quotes overcharging? Please could someone give me a ballpark figure of what I could expect to pay. It is a large, 5-bedroomed property on a large plot, so a fairly substantial house.
