universal credit and consent order

Hi all, my ex and I have agreed on a financial settlement and will contact solicitor to help us with consent order. I am in receipt of Universal Credit, at what stage do I need to inform UC about the settlement? And will I have to send the finalised consent order to the UC as a proof of a settlement or any other documents will be requested by UC?

Not sure but I have an informal agreement with my ex and they weren't interested in knowing about it as it isn't included for claims purposes.

There is no point informing anyone until a judge has signed it off as they could refuse even if you and ex are in agreement. Only then should you notify UC.

If you plan to use the divorce settlement on buying a house I believe you have six months wiggle room before they penalise you for having too many savings.

thank you for replies. I will not be buying a house but I am planning to use the money for home refurbishment and some adaptations for my child with disability, it is not a lot of money. I am just wondering if UC needs to see the whole court order or do they accept any other document to prove the financial settlement
