What distance between homes does the Family Court think is a barrier to 50-50?

Keen to hear from anyone with first hand experience of the court’s view on this. If one parent has moved a 45 minute journey away, will the court think that’s too much travel to and from school for a 5 year old who is also in afterschool and breakfast club? When the other parent lives 5 mins away from school? Could this be a barrier to equal shared care or not? Co-parenting relationship generally not good either.

I don’t think there are any hard and fast rules. I think it will depend more on feasibility of travel arrangements than distance. E.g whether there is a direct train, one or both parents are drivers etc.

Not sure about court but.....the Local Authority say that a 45 minute journey to school is a acceptable when.they provide school places or transport. So that may set a president to say 45 mins is fine.
