Anyone else notified court for lack of engagement with NCDR?

Currently going through a divorce with my STBXH, separated last September.

We are past the conditional order stage now so where we need to sort money out, had an interim mediation session back in January and nothing since. He has now applied to court saying he finds mediation too stressful 🙄

When I received the documents the other day there was a letter in there saying if I have received this application and I don’t believe that NCDR has been explored properly then I should notify the court within seven days. Has anybody actually done this in practice and could tell me what happens? I’m happy to continue with NCDR but he is digging his heels in at every point, part of me wants it over but also not happy about huge costs because he’s “stressed”.
