Husband not showing me attention

We are a large family my hubby works 6 days a week heavy worker, we’ve been married for 27 years but the last 2 years he shows nothing toward me, only when he wants a “bit” then back to me being invisible. When I confront him nicely to talk he says I’m wanting an argument & he goes on his phone as soon as he gets in from work til time to sleep! This is an ongoing issue & I’m really low as I love him so much. I ask him can we go for a walk, he says I’m too tired and carry’s on with his phone, I ask shall we watch a film together he says yes then watches his phone while the film is on. Advice plz

Have you thought about couples therapy?

Does he have to work 6 days a week? How many days do you work?
I don’t think I would be that happy in my life working 6 days week in week out.

I don’t want to worry you, but find a way to check his phone - WITHOUT him finding out. Every time there was a post like this on Mumsnet, someone always said “this is what my husband was like when he was having an affair”. I didn’t think my husband had the time - and I didn’t think it was who he was. But it turned out he was having an affair too. Cold, cruel, no affection or attention - but he’d take sex when offered. And always on his phone.

i hope that’s not the case for you. But worth considering. Hope things get better for you, being ignored by the person who promised to love and cherish you forever is so painful xx
