posted a few days ago about renting whilst on universal credit etc

so i saw a house i really liked and decided to just go for it - i applied this morning but haven’t heard anything back and now the anxiety in me is thinking the landlord likely laughed at me and just said hell no 😂

i’m a single mama, i have my own business and earn a regular income. but i do have universal credit to afford to help me to live as my children are young so i can’t work a lot of hours! dad does the bare minimum and sees them once a week so i get zero help

how soon did you hear after sending an application in? am i expecting to hear back too soon? does it take a day or so?

would love to hear some landlords advice on having tenants on benefits. i hate the stigma around it as im generally a very boring, quiet, hardworking mum!
