There hasn't been a thread like this for a little while. If you have received your Conditional Order recently, or have a date for it to be read out in court, how long did it take? I applied for my Conditional Order on 2nd April and no news as yet. I was told I would hear by 28th May, but wonder what the chances are of hearing sooner. Please share your experiences.

Is this the same as the consent order? Following with interest

@superplumb No, the Conditional Order has replaced the decree nisi in the no fault divorce process. It basically means the court has granted permission for the divorce to go ahead after the 20-week waiting period.

So is that rhe thing uou do online via the gov website. I was the applicant paid 500 odd quid and it went to the court to check then sent to him to respond via email which he did..
Is that it? I submitted it on the 28th January and I thjnk by mid Feb I had notification it was all ok and that they had sent it to him to sign
Literally 10 mins after that email I got another saying he had signed it.

@superplumb It sounds as if you're still in your 20-week waiting / cooling off period. If your 20-week waiting period started in mid Feb, it should end in around early July. You will then get an email inviting you to apply for the conditional order. I applied for my conditional order a month or so ago and I'm now in the "waiting for the conditional order" part of the process.

I am in the same boat as you. My soon to be ex applied on 5th April. We haven't heard back as well
As I'm not the one who applied, I don't even know the date he was given to hear back. It's so frustrating. Could you let me know when you hear back pls

@Teeteem I wanted to let you know that I received an email about the Conditional Order earlier today. Ours is due to be read out in court on 27th May. I hope you get your date soon.

@Iwanttobreakfree2 That's great. Congratulations. We are about 3 days apart. So fingers crossed, let's see what happens this weekend or Monday at the latest. Will definitely update you as well. Thanks for telling me.

So what happens once we apply for the conditional order? I already have the consent order drafted but not sent anywhere as I'm still waiting to hear back about the mortgage.

Applied for Conditional Order on 28th March.
Email confirming pronouncement date on 25th April.
Pronouncement was today (14th May).
Can submit Consent Order now, and will be able to apply for the Final Order on 26th June at the earliest.
