Hi all
I really need some support here. My ex husband was arrested for stalking with severe alarm and distress. My son has not seen him for years due to family court deeming him and unsafe and unstable father. I am in a big dilemma as my son will soon be going to secondary school and will need more independence than what I allow at the moment. Due to the worry I am beside myself wondering how I will allow him to wander about alone once he attends secondary school, knowing his father is around the area. If we move away he could find us anyway and that would be cutting off our support network. Please can anyone tell me if they have been in this position and how you are meant to make peace with letting your child live a normal independent life whilst you know their abusive father is lingering around.
I am struggling with sleep awake at night worrying about it
I hope my post makes sense and someone can offer words of wisdom or advice as I don't see a solution?
