Going from main carer to 50/50

I would say I'm the main carer of my children age 11 and 9.
I take care of house and children and work part time (weekdays). My working hours fit around the children so I'm always there.
Husband earns alot more, works often 8am-6pm, sometimes office, sometimes home office and often travels on random days.

He takes and picks up youngest , 2 days per week. Everything is always prepared for him to just walk out of the door. On an evening he pick ups but goes straight back to work meeting then I follow in and cook tea ect.

Now that we are separating he says it will be 50/50 shared care. I don't have any major reason to say no apart from my own emotional attachment to the children and that I am physically there for them more.

Has anyone else been in this situation?
Can I stop 50/50?

No you can’t stop 50/50 unless you can prove he’s abusive.

what I will say is make sure you make it clear you won’t be doing pick ups and drop offs on your days. His days are his day not just picking them up from you after work and using you as free childcare. Often, although not always, dads want 50/50 to get out of child maintenance. It may be when he sees the cost of childcare, food, uniforms etc he will reconsider or maybe he actually wants to spend time with the kids and this won’t bother him. Don’t make it difficult for him just because you will miss the kids but don’t make it easy to take the piss out of you
