Currently separated with a parenting agreement and financial separation order in place.

I want to proceed to divorce but in the cheapest possible way. I honestly can’t afford any excess legal fees as I didn’t a lot on legal advice through the separation process. Any advice or insight as to how I can proceed to divorce with minimal cost.

We have an amicable split and are on good terms, if that makes any difference. They won’t contest the divorce but equally, they won’t pursue it or pay for it (due to being focused on other areas of life and admin not ever being their strong point rather than not wanting to be divorced).

If there are no financial or children issues and you have a separation agreement then you can just apply for a divorce using the simple procedure, download the forms and it costs about £150
