Job Loss and Child Support – Can I Modify the Amount?

I lost my job while in the process of divorcing through midivorcepapers.com, and I am concerned about my ability to pay child support. My income has significantly decreased, and I want to avoid falling behind on payments. Can I request a modification before the court finalizes the divorce, or do I have to wait until payments officially begin? What legal steps should I take to adjust the child support order to reflect my current financial situation? Will the court consider my temporary unemployment when deciding on the final amount?

Yes you need to tell them, and should you get another job before the process is complete update them again. If you don’t get a new one until it’s finalise you should contact your ex and make cms arrangements as soon as you have been paid once
