How quickly does other party get notification of divorce application?

Is it an instant notification via email or is it something that has to be checked and actually processed? I just want to know when to expect the reaction from my husband. He knows I intend to do it (separated for four months now) but isn’t coping too well so I just want a bit of warning for when he will see it.

Just to update for reference, mine took a week in the end. Submitted on a Sunday, was sitting there for the court to review the documents for a week and then he got an email today, so a calendar week.
