How to stop a final hearing finance

Hi

My stbxh and I have had an acrimonious separation. We had an FDR and the judge gave us an indication of an outcome and that has given us a direction . We didn't actually settle at the FDR and our barristers were to-ing and fro-ing. Since the FDR we have communicated with each other and it seems we will actually work things between ourselves but need time. How do we stop a final hearing (which has now been listed)? The costs are astronomical and neither of us want to pay them and would rather the money went towards our family. I don't want my solicitor to do all the prep work either as that costs money (it was me that was taking him to court). We haven't finalised anything but we have both worked out potential options and are reasonably happy with them. I would go with one of the options my stbxh has put to me although I'm not sure which one yet. I'd also like to wait to see how the housing market goes over the next few months so I can realistically see what I can afford but worst case scenario I think I can buy out my stbxh anyway, providing there are no final hearings!
