Ending divorce proceedings , solicitor needs to see me face to face to confirm this?

I am quite far into my divorce proceedings (I was the petitioner.) I have decided to stop proceedings due to personal reasons. So I sent an email to my solicitor and also phoned her to tell her. But she is asking to meet with me to discuss my reasons, apparently she needs to make sure I am not making this decision due to influence or coersion from my ex. (I'm not)
Is this normal or standard procedure?
I have made up my mind and I have told her via email and telephone that this is what I want to do and that I have not been influenced or forced to stop proceedings.

She apparently needs to see me face to face via zoom or in person , apparently it's a tick box exercise thing. A phone call or email from me is not sufficcient apparently? I think it's to confirm there is no one else in the room with me making me stop the proceedings..it just seems a bit drastic

I don't know if it is standard, but I like to think that they want to/are obliged to look out for parties that might be subject to abuse. Might be a bit of a pain for you (although Zoom sounds straightforward) but if it saves someone being subjected to this then hopefully it is worth it.

It's to make sure you are not being coerced, especially if you are a long way through proceedings.

It is unusual to go far down the path and then stop. I hope you haven't felt threatened in any way to change your mind. It's good your solicitor is showing their duty of care to you.
