Using same solicitor for selling house as for divorce

I'm right in the middle of my divorce and am also selling our family home at the same time. Does it make sense to use the same solicitor for both processes, or does it not matter? The firm I'm using for my divorce comes highly recommended but is very expensive and doesn't rate so highly for conveyancing, so I'm tempted to go with a different firm for that. Has anyone got any advice or experience around this? Thanks

Of course use a different firm! A conveyancer is much cheaper than a divorce lawyer!

@m00rfarm Thank you, I just meant, is it useful to use the same firm (not the same actual solicitor), in case they need to liaise with each other. I'm a bit wet behind the ears with all this stuff! Thanks though, I will just plough on with a different firm of solicitor's with a better reputation for conveyancing.

If you are in the middle of a divorce then surely the house is a marital asset and you don’t have the autonomy to sell it until those assets have been split. The other party would probably see a conflict here.

@LemonTT My ex is in agreement to sell. We both need the capital to move on, and the family home is a millstone around both our necks financially, so we've agree it makes sense to sell it asap. The sale will likely take longer than the divorce as we're at the very start of the selling process.
