Can you do mediation whilst going through Ancillary Relief order?

So i have applied for Ancillary Relief order and currently going through that, so my ex has been given a court date with a schedule to give in his financial disclosure. The reason I was forced to do an ancillary relief order is because my ex wouldn't give any financial information in.
He is now asking can we do mediation and he will give all his financial disclosure into the Mediator.
So can I do mediation alongside the ancillary relief process? And then if we come to an agreement in mediation then I can stop the ancillary relief order. I honestly haven't a clue how any of this works.
Or do I have to pull out of the Ancillary Relief order to be able to do mediation? My solicitor gave me the impression that Ancillary Relief order will not stop until an agreement is made so can that agreement be made by mediation?

If the ancillary relief is ordered that won’t stop until settlement reached and signed off

ancillary relief is the process of obtaining interim financial support from a spouse while working on the settlement - this may or may not be successful claim

@millymollymoomoo can the settlement be reached via a Mediator whilst Ancillary Relief is in process?

Yes
as I understand it
ancillary relief just provides finance support while finances being worked

have you been awarded ancillary relief ?

@millymollymoomoo my understanding from my solicitor was that Ancillary Relief order was the next step because my ex was ignoring our requests for financial disclosure so my solicitor said that an Ancillary Relief order would enforce him to show his financial information. There has been a date set for a review.
