Not received CAFCASS report and hearing is next week

I have recently had a CAFCASS section 7 report done for our childcare arrangements due to abuse. I was due to receive the report by today. The officer that did it was going on holiday today and we have a dispute resolution hearing next week but I have heard nothing back. No report, no communication whatsoever. I need the report so that I can discuss it with my barrister and we know how to proceed at the hearing next week.

Does anyone know if I can chase this up with CAFCASS? If she's gone off on holiday and hasn't sent out the report what am I supposed to do?

Unfortunately this is a common occurrence with CAFCASS.... and the hearing maybe adjourned to another date in several weeks time.

We had similar issues with cafcass not meeting deadlines. You will need to chase unfortunately and no guarantee it will be ready. We had to adjourn the hearing at one point due to not having the information available for court and was better to do that than pay barristers who couldn't undertake the required work.

Ring them tomorrow and chase it and fingers crossed it's just waiting to be sent to you. As long as they have done all the fact finding a report should be available.
