Can someone help me with child maintenance service please

I have name changed.

I have been divorced from H1 since 2012. He last saw our daughter in 2014. This was also the last payment I received from him.

My daughter is now 14. For ten years she's not received a penny, no Christmas card, birthday card or contact at all.

I have financed her myself in this time with the help of my current husband who has been around since she was 1 year old.

However I would now like to reopen a cms case. I don't know where he lives, I think he is remarried, I only have an old mobile no for him so this may well have changed. Is this therefore the end of the road if I can't locate him?

I would also like to apply without him knowing my new surname or address but don't know if this is possible.

The CMS can trace the paying parent through any organisation that might hold their details like:

• their current or previous employer
• HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC)
• the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA)

This may protect your name/address? But has a fee attached

I don’t think you can hide your name and address. It would be a bit barmy if an anonymous person could enforce CMS from you!

Do you have his date of birth, national insurance number? They can trace him with very little info, if you have these they probably can.

Also see whether you can find him on any social media. Facebook, LinkedIn. Take screen shots if you find him, that you can send to them.
