After 20 years of bringing up my children, as a hard working stay at home Mum/working part time jobs around the family and generally holding everyone together, my husband filed for divorce . Although things are amicable . I could really do with finding a solicitor that's wants to help me get a fair long term financial outcome. I live in the South East, RH17.

I hope someone comes along soon, but in preparation you need to begin to collate some information

What you both earn
Savings / account value
Pension values
House value (current mortgage)
Value of vehicles
Credit card / loan values

All solicitors will want to get their client a fair outcome op

its just that you and your ex might disagree on what that looks like

This is a dangerous recommendation.

If that information is gathered and available then it might be automatically disclosable when it may be better to not before an agreement is reached and therefore could negatively impact the person's position.

Get advice before doing anything.
