He's leaving in the morning

13 hours to go. He's leaving after school run tomorrow. Am on edge just waiting for it.
I still can't believe that he's capable of walking away from our beautiful DS, and I'm dreading having to pick up the pieces. I'm also looking forward to the freedom. Just needed to let that out.

Is he planning on having contact with the child?

He's moving 4 hours away. Apparently he has arranged to stay at his mums which is about 1 hour away for 1 weekend a month so DS can see him there. Am livid. DS deserves so much more than that. He's only 5.

What an arsehole. Why four hours away?

I have no idea. I suspect that he's been offered somewhere rent free by a family member.
Hard to realise that I married a deadbeat dad.

Does your DS know already?

He told him about 3 weeks ago that he was going away for work. Didn't tell me he'd done this until last week. I spoke to DS briefly a couple of days ago and I don't think he realises exactly what's happening.

So a coward as well. Leaving you to explain.
