Divorce. Husband deported following DV conviction, no idea of current address

My husband was removed from the UK around 5 years ago following a conviction for attacking me. He was put in immigration detention after the trial, because I had revoked sponsorship of his UK spousal visa.

We have 1 child who was a young baby at the time. No involvement from father since then. No contact with his family either. I've relocated to a totally new part of the UK for safety reasons (as husband has lots of friends in UK, so I didn't want to risk them turning up or trying to snatch child for him). This is something he used to threaten to arrange, before he was deported.

I didn't pursue a divorce at the time because I had no much other stuff going on and didn't have the headspace or the money for it.

I've no idea of his current address or contact details for his family in his native country.

I hear that the UK solicitor or court would need a mailing address for him, but can I still get a divorce without knowing it.

Anyone been in this situation?

No but a lawyer will advise. Can you have the divorce granted as you have been separated from him for 4+ years or abandonment.
