Dear Ladies,
I have been in abusive marriage for 16 years. It has been absolutely awful but I had no financial means to leave and I was always fearful of my abuser as he has been always threatening me.
I applied for divorce and it will be finalized by October. We still live under the same roof. He is being very difficult and is very hateful towards me. We live in rented property and he is threatening me that once contract is finished for this flat he will stay there with kids .( 14yo and 5yo -both girls). he constantly threatens me to take me to court as" I was the abuser in the relationship". I have been defending myself throughout the years . I cannot take his threats anymore as I feel suicidal at this point.
I have recording of him threatening to murder me and break my nose and he mentions how he missed hitting me and that I was lucky he missed. This recording is from 2019. he also calls my mum and dad names during recording and threatens to take my children away and tells me to pack up and go ( in vulgar way). I reported him to police in 2021 as he hit me then but I withdrew that and made it sound like he only tapped my neck when he really hit me. I have been always scared of him as he is always very aggresive with words.
He is now threathening me to take me to court as I am the abuser.
My question is whether I can report abuse and this recording from many years ago as proof againist him or is it not valid anymore?
He is also making allegations and texting me and harassing me that I starve my older daughter and says I mentally torture her when I try to confront her for bad behavior and challenging behaviour towards me and he says I should stay away or he will take me to court. I then spoke to my daughter and she told him that nobody is doing shopping but didnt say I was starving her and she told him I was nagging her but not torturing her. I have everything on recording.
I dont know what to do with his threats and manipulation . He send me texts as if its truth and proof to court.
Can I report him for old abuse ? any proof that I can find on my phone? even if it goes back few years back? Thank you ladies.
