Consent order was uploaded on 30th April and I am still waiting.. not one word from solicitor.
Anyone else recently had one back and what were the timings?

Recently mine took about 4 wks and other posters at the same time were roughly the same - so I’d imagine you’ll hear any day. My exes solicitor took a further week to tell mine that it had been approved (they had uploaded the order). The final order in the divorce only took a few hours from then
It was much less time that the divorce office etc advised to start with. Good luck.

@Mcca501 I was literally coming to this forum to check the very same thing! Mine was allegedly uploaded by my exs solicitor on 2nd May so @Jonathan70 very reassuring to know yours was about 4 weeks. From other threads, I know the final order is almost just a button click and I am itching to do that!

There have been a couple of things recently between us that have royally p'd me off so desperate to close this chapter!

halfmyface · 30/05/2024 16:54

I've had notification today that it was approved 2 weeks ago but it took 2 weeks for his solicitor to tell mine!!

Mcca501 · 30/05/2024 17:08

@halfmyface so yours was back in 2 weeks? I don't know why mine is taking so long. I am thr applicant on this so I know it's not his solicitor stalling anything.
Just need to know so I can sort the mortgage out and get rid

I think a month, 6 weeks is pretty normal and 2 is fast. Any day…..I’d call your solicitor every day to check, mine could take a few days to send an email or longer.

halfmyface · 31/05/2024 08:25

@Mcca501 yep, seems it was actually 2 weeks, I have no idea if the delay in my solicitor being notified was court delay in sending it out or his solicitor delays but form would suggest the latter!

@Jonathan70 as you've been through it. now the financial order is agreed, there's nothing stopping me hitting the final order button now is there? I can't think of any. The cash transfer has already happened, the person transfer can be sorted even after the final order can't it?

Jonathan70 · 31/05/2024 09:07

Nothing at all - I hit go within minutes of getting the financial order and was divorced a few hrs later!
best wishes

Damn, solicitor says there needs to be 28 days from consent to final order, something to do with pension sharing order. On the bright side, as it took 2 weeks and a day for notice to reach my solicitor, we're more than half way through. I was looking forward to celebrating this weekend too, expecting hours like you said @Jonathan70

Mcca501 · 03/06/2024 15:52

I have just called the solicitor and they said could be another couple of weeks yet. I am already on 4 weeks so it's not looking promising.

It's a straight forward consent order too. No pension share involved so no reason for a delay

Sick of the whole process now

Ah, @halfmyface we didn’t have any pension sharing but at least you know it will be over in a couple of weeks. @Mcca501 it could still be any day…

We had our first hearing at court on 15 May 2025 with a consent order ready to be signed by the judge (we settled before the court case). He wanted some minor wording changes which we did the same day and submitted back to him. And now nothing! Still waiting to hear if it has been approved! Very frustrating. I presume it’s got lost on the court system again even though he said he could look at it again that day.

It is reassuring to know it only takes 4 weeks or so from submission to approve the order though, I thought it took up to 4 months!

Does anyone know - after the financial consent order has been approved and we’ve waited for the 28 days for the pension sharing order, it will be more than 12 months since we applied for the divorce, is that going to cause any problems? Hoping just can click a button to get the final order!

Still waiting....😪😪
