It was devastatingly unexpected and I have three children's grief to manage. He was a brilliant dad. He was at home with my daughter and his new wife (and partner of 10 years). He was on the peloton and they found him. Had to try and get help and administer CPR, etc. Was horrendously traumatic. I had to tell my other two children. They were 22, 19 and 14 when he died. I think my eldest daughter has PDSD. I fully intend to get her support (probably from Winston's Wishes).

There are other complications going on for me... I have my own grief too. Anyone else experienced something like this?

If she was there and helped with CPR/dialling 999 she might find a facebook group called Chain of Survival helpful - it’s for people who have found themselves in that situation, with both sad and happy outcomes. They have useful resources that explain cardiac arrest, what’s happened and so forth and where/when to look for help. It’s completely natural for her to be traumatised immediately afterwards and for quite some time afterwards given the grief mixed in too - can she access any support through her workplace occupational health or university/whatever?

He died in January. She is with me most of the time but also started a new job so spends time staying at her dad's house too. She's a bit all over the place at the moment so I worry the constant back and forth is also a lot for her. She's a very kind and thoughtful girl so she's likely to put everyone else's problems before her own.
