How much does it cost for a consent order: children

I have found myself in a difficult position where my stbxh and I share 50/50 childcare. Unfortunately my children hate going to his and cry and scream when he shows up to collect them. I would like them more than 50% of the time for this reason. What are my chances of actually achieving this?

Plus what sort of costs am I looking at if I can’t get legal aid and don’t involve my solicitor.

He would never physically hurt them. He just doesn’t take them anywhere and is not emotionally kind to them. I am not doing this for the child maintenance and warn good money. I am thinking about my children’s happiness.

Can you ask him for the children to stay more? If you don’t want the child maintenance he might be more receptive to them not staying with him as much.

I have asked and he said no
