Nearing the end of a very long divorce.

The financial consent order has been sent to court for approval/to be sealed.
how long does this take usually?

When this comes back, we apply for the decree absolute.

My consent order took 3 months maybe. That was few years ago though. Absolute was very quick after that.

Mine were done on the same day. I think it took a couple of weeks for the consent to be seen my the judge. That was approved, my solicitor applied for the final order which was done within the hour.

My consent order was posted end of March 2023 - got letter confirming accepted 28/04/2023 - applied online for final order which was granted three hours later

Similar to @Iworkmiricles , it was approved the same day that it was accepted by the court (I sent it in myself and needed to call in to pay which took about a week from when I posted it, once that was done it was accepted). I received it back a week later and applied for final order the same day, which went through within a couple of hours.
