Those of you who are divorced, what have you done with your wedding dress and other wedding memorabilia?

Sold it! Got peanuts for it but just didn’t want it around me any longer

Mines all still in boxes in the loft. Mainly because I'm too lazy to get my arse up there and chuck it out.
Now I'm thinking I may well set aside a weekend to decluttering the loft.....

My dress is still in the loft - it's on my to do list to deal with. I think I will probably donate it. If no one wants it I'll skip it

Box of memorabilia - shoes, invites etc I'll probably just leave up there for the kids one day if they are interested. Including wedding album. It doesn't take up much space

Engagement ring I'm trying to sell but realising that the resale market for engagement rings is pretty crap and I won't really get much for it (or as much as I thought) and I aim to buy the kids an item of jewellery with the money

It's the day to day things I'm struggling with - anniversary presents from family like ornaments and then little things I kept from days out concert tickets etc - I've got a big box of things to go through. It's hard because they are my memories as well as shared ones and I don't want to erase everything from my past

All of the wedding stuff is in a box in the garage. I recently cleared the garage out but couldn't face going through it. Not sure what I'll do with it. Not sure got the emotional capacity to go through it either. Just a reminder of another mistake

I didn't have a proper wedding dress, I had an evening dress from Monsoon so I'm going to Ebay it at some point. I've kept some of the mementoes, it's all in a box. I did throw out some bits. My youngest was horrified when I gave him the newspaper we had from the date of the wedding to use in his art project! We compromised and he took some of the inner pages. I can't see them wanting it all when they're older. But it is part of our history and we were together for nearly 20 years so I feel bad throwing it all away.

Just wang it without looking through it or leave it until you can cope. There is no rush. I have kept my engagement ring and wedding ring that I will give to my daughter that I had forgotten about earlier. Everything else - gone! No reminders then. Go easy on yourself x

Rings sold
Dress I got £15 for. It cost £1600
Album and trinkets in the loft in case kids want it.
All very sad but to me the rings and dress were all tainted now. Certainly no sentimental value.

I’m not divorced but if i was I’d probably burn it all

Tried to sell it no-one wanted it so I sent it to charity it never turned up in the shop so I assume they ebayed it as it really was a beautiful dress far too pretty to rag it

The photos got tossed the online ones archived there are digital copies but all the printed ones are gone
