Money cut off/disappearing funds - what to do?

I really need advice. My bullying ex and I are divorcing.

We have a business together. He seems to have run a lot of money through it and out into his account at the start of the year. He has moved out and says there is no money left. He has always paid the bills from his personal account, with money from company funds. He has said he won't be doing this anymore, so I am suddenly left with sizeable bills on a family home that I cannot pay.
I am looking at getting a lodger and job - I have been working in the business, but to be honest, it doesn't take up all of my time and I could and will get a job, but this will likely take a few weeks.

We tried mediation but it failed. He wants to try again. He says all of the money spend is legitimate and I'll see this in financial disclosure, but will not discuss anything.

We have one child and at present 50/50 care.

I don't really know what to do. I have been advised to go straight to court, but have no funds for anything at all.

I don't even know what happens when you can't pay bills. I always earned and paid my way. I can't believe I've got myself into this situation. It's thousands of pounds.

All advice welcome, though please go easy, I am not happy at the situation in which I find myself, and believe me, realise I've made mistakes in ending up here. Thank you.

Hi, I'm a little late to this post but I thought you might find this resource I used helpful if you end up needing to go to court - https://iamlip.com/ https://iamlip.com/home/
My ex tried to mess with me financially too in the divorce (I couldn't afford a solicitor) These guides are pretty good though and really helped me through so I hope these might be able to guide you. It helped me understand what what going on and what I could do xxx
This specifically might be useful to you - https://iamlip.com/help-guides/the-court-process-of-dividing-your-marital-assets-finances-and-pensions/

Also join a few facebook divorce groups - they are really useful and have a great community of people who have been through the same thing so they can offer great advice. It's nice to feel like you're not alone in this, there are so many others going through similar things.
