Hi all, have googled to get some idea of what this delay may look like but hoping somebody might have experienced something similar
So for context lets say my name is Elliemay, my divorce application states Ellie May but my marriage certificate shows correctly Elliemay. (I think this might have been an autofill error!)
Final order date was 4th August, I logged in and clicked submit, got an email back a few hours later saying court staff when checking the documents noticed this and I'd need to provide evidence to support my name. I sent passport which indeed confirms I'm Elliemay not Ellie-may. They have said the conditional order will now need to be changed and reprinted and put back before a judge to approve the changes.
I was genuinely so upset and cross at myself for not noticing but also the divorce people for also not noticing this until the end point when I should now be legally divorced. This is on top of having a 4 week additional delay on conditional order due to an admin error there end putting the wrong church on my application (I had a melt down about this at the time too but it was out of my hands!) Although I think divorce has been fairly straight forward it has felt like every milestone there has been an issue and I'm so frustrated. I should have been legally divorced back in June.
So to summarise - admin error in name spotted at point of divorced being finalised... how long should I anticipate the delay being before it can be reissued.
