Hello everyone
thought I would add a thread here as the divorce line takes roughly an hour to get through and they were little to no help.
me and my ex partner are going through a divorce , what should be a simple divorce , we ended on good terms , no houses or estates to split and daughter lives with my ex , we are actually really good friends and always be.
we applied for a divorce (see below next paragraph) 2 years ago and we’re at the final stage of completion……yay …….but
however when the forms were filled in by my ex she ticked judicial separation opposed to divorce , since then it has been roughly since September getting this changed ( extra payments , letter sent from both confirming we wanted divorce , documents re filled in red etc)
finally yesterday the divorce line when I rang confirmed the judge has authorised the change from judicial separation to divorce , we now have to wait upto 10 weeks for a letter from the admin team confirming this.
I asked what the next process would be as all forms are filled out so would be no point filling out new forms for new divorce if we have sent amended copies off to the judge who already authorised the change. She said to wait for letter.
can anyone shed any light on what happened next now?
im hoping we go straight to final stages of divorce proceedings.
