Hi all

I posted a little while ago about a divorce calculator.

A friend pointed me in the direction of this - needsmet.uk

It looks like its not currently available, but it sounds like it could be a good way of sorting things out. We're amicable and just want a steer towards the best way of splitting everything fairly and getting roofs over both of our heads without having to get solicitors involved (which we wouldnt be able to afford!).

Does it sound like a good idea?

Divorce mediation is a good idea, yes, as would be an appointment with a financial advisor. Just because you’re amicable doesn’t mean that whatever you agree would be in your own or the other’s best interests.

Whether that company is any good is impossible to know: they could be a company of experienced and long-standing mediators, or they could be somebody in their back room with no experience starting a side hustle.
