If I left the marital home but wanted to add a homeowner loan to the mortgage to enable me to set up somewhere new can I do this if I’ve already moved out?

You’ll need your STBX’s agreement to secure a loan on a jointly owned property. You moving out won’t make any difference as long as you still legally co-own the property.
