So ive got an idea before i contact the mediation centre or solicitors.

  • House - we both own the house and have a large equity but no savings
  • outgoing bills - reduce or get rid, i pay about 90% inc the mortgage for the past 12 months
  • pensions (ive got a few little ones but cant seem to remember which insurances they are or were in, is there a website where i put my details in and it grabs all my pensions together??)
  • life insurance - i need to sort that out for myself. Husband already got one.

Not sure of anything else? Can anyone incase i didnt thought of it.

Thank you for your time

Read the top of the board
there is a link to ADVICE NOW.
go there. Download the guides. Read the processes . Watch videos. Follow their diy guides. Use their advice on where you don’t need solicitor, where you might, and where you should
Go to government divorce site. Download form E and D81 which list exactly what to include on full legal financial declaration.
no one here knows your exact circumstances- just use the clear legitimate advice that is already out there.
make sure you read “fair settlement “ criteria and know how these will apply to your situation and your STBex.

my advice? Do not start with solicitors or mediation. Park your anger. Work amicably with STBex to get an agreed consent order. Get a solicitor to just “ draft” it to legal speak. Save £1000 in fees and months of timelines. Only use solicitor for where and when you absolutely have to.

why won’t people read the links at top of boards before posting? I get fed up keep saying this🙄
