Hi

I’ve been looking at DIY free financial orders

found one online so going to use

he’s living with patents in grace debt
no idea if he’s working
he was abusive controlling and we won’t ever be speaking again

ive remained in my social home with my daughter
I work and claim UC and earn little enough I got a fee waiver for the divorce application

my question is are my benefits and child benefit my “income other than work”?

m they ask for my income this year
they mean from April 1st right?

thank you

this is all being done through crowdsourcing

Hi, yes, UC and Chd Benefit, Child Maintenance etc comes under Imcome other than working. As for the dates, they are usually looking for the last year, ad opposed to the financial year, however, if you're starting it now, it's April in any case so, it will technically be your financial year anyway. You will need to supply proof of all payments. Hope this helps, and good luck.

Apologies for the typos! Juggling breakfast making at the same time!

Thank you! I really appreciate you replying as I can only find information online.
So the last 12 months as opposed to the last financial year. Okay that's fine.
can I draft this financial order myself?

I have a family law solicitor acting for me via legal aid in the child arrangements case he's brought, I could ask her to help but as far as I know she's only working on this specific case.

Am I legally allowed to draw up the order myself? Since there's zero assets it should just be pretty simple?

I think I need to write to him first?

Financial consent order should be drafted by qualified solicitor. You need both the applicant and respondent to complete D81 form . If you are in agreement the cost of the financial consent order should be minimal. Mine cost £480

thank you. thankfully my legal aid solicitor dealing with my family law case ahs confirmed they can handle it all.

480 is not minimal to a single mum on benefits. It's a shit tonne.

But it should be sorted now thankfully and it should end up costing me exactly £0
