Will this scupper my chance of divorcing?

So if i divorce my husband, i know i will need a job to support me and our 3 boys, but i am a carer to our autistic son who is also Home Educated.

My husband has always been the main earner, i'm self employed and my income just pays for luxuries for the kids.

Our son is old enough to be left for a little while but not a whole day of me working and nobody else could have him.

Will a part time job be ok, or will this scupper my financial chance of divorcing

assets available
needs
earnings and potential earnings

it’s probable that you’ll be expected to work and your done go into mainstream or special education

but no one here knows this so it’s impossible to advise
you’d need a solicitor to advise you but in general it’s not likely your husband would have to pay to allow you to not work

Yep i struggled to word it, i think what i mean is:

If i can't commit to a full time job, will i still be able to afford to do this.
I'm not expecting hubbie to pick up the slack.

I'm wondering if any other carers have left their partners and how it worked financially.

share of assets you’d likely receive - is this enough to house you ?
whst income would you receive - part time earning, child maintenance, carets alliance and other benefits - can you pay the bills and afford to live

if the answer to these is yes then fine, if the answer is no then you’ll need to consider and might mean a need for full time work or other changes
