Is the time you are separated still included as the duration of your marriage?

I left the family home a year and a half ago, I plan on filing for divorce early next year. Would this year and a half that we are separated be included in the marriage? We are not legally separated so just wondered would the year and a half be added to the duration of the marriage in the courts?

On the paperwork for the financial consent split you have to state the date you separated so presumably yes it's taken into account

Yes
but a year won’t really make much difference to a settlement
