Can anyone recommend a good family solicitor please? My partner has said he wants full custody of our daughter and I need to find someone to support me with this

I found a divorce solicitor (but they deal with family law) by googling local websites.

I chose the solicitor by looking at their profiles. I looked at those who say they specialised in family law rather than other types., and I looked for a senior/partner rather than a junior. My solicitor has been working for the same firm for a long time, so I know she’s experienced.

I then phoned for an initial conversation (free), and because she put no pre time constraint (some say beforehand they will give you 20 mins). We spoke for about 40 mins and she was very generous with actual advice.

She started off by saying it’s difficult to give real advice because divorces are so different, but when I explained my fairly simple circumstances, she did come up with the goods. I got a nice feel from her and I have subsequently appointed her. She is part of Resolution.co.uk which is a code that tries not to be to “let’s go to court”.

Good luck. I haven’t this problem, but many times when a father says this, other posters reply that it’s usually a bluff to make you roll over on other stuff. However only a solicitor can put your mind at rest.
