Hi all,
I applied to court a while back, due to me having concerns my ex partner moving away and I was concerned he would stop me seeing my children.
Shortly after we managed to sort it out and now have very good working contact (he's the residing parent). I tried to withdraw from court, but due to the cafcass worker offering a section 7, was denied. I was extremely frustrated as the reason it was ordered in the first place was because of the woman that interviewed us exaggerated things, (such as asking when we argued in our relationship did he shout etc then in the report said he was abusive which was totally incorrect!) I tried to challenge the report, I complained formally, even had one of the higher up managers agree to sort it out, but nothing happened.
I was eventually given a new worker from cafcass who was much nicer, she agreed we had good contact and all was fine etc so wrote this too the courts to help us get it closed.
I have a dispute resolution hearing tomorrow via video link, and it's stressing me out immensely, I've just had enough now and want it all to go away it's putting a massive strain on my life and my exes, neither of us can move on and it's causing friction. I think the hearing was booked before cafcass wrote to them, but still it's very stressful, I can't see why it still needs to go ahead it seems madness when some else could benefit from the slot!
We have contemplated just not attending, as this is what I initially said and this is what cafcass wrote in the report to them.
Any advice? Anyone been through similar? It's really getting to us now and the anxiety it's causing 😞
